True crime podcast Small Town Dicks returns for season fourteen

The hit true crime podcast Small Town Dicks is launching a landmark 14th season this Friday.

To date, it boasts over 48 million downloads and won Adweek’s 2022 Podcast of the Year Awards for Hosts of the Year, as well as the 2023 Signal Awards for Best Co-Host Team, Best Exclusive Content + Experiences for Shows, and Individual Episode: True Crime.

Co-hosted by Yeardley Smith, the iconic voice of Lisa Simpson, identical twin detectives Dan and Dave, and Paul Holes, the acclaimed Cold Case investigator, NYT best-selling author, and true crime expert, the podcast explores big-time crime in small towns worldwide through in-depth, first-hand accounts from the detectives that cracked each case.

As an added bonus for fans this season, subscribers to the podcast on Patreon will be able to binge the first four episodes all at once with no ads.

Episodes one and two, Signs of a Serial Killer, covers a violent home invasion in a normally quiet neighbourhood, in a two-part story. One person is dead but there are many twists to the case leading to a suspect who is far more cunning and dangerous than he first appears.

The third episode, Duped, tells of an adult who escapes prosecution after soliciting sex to a child by vowing never to do it again, but three years later there’s another call about an online predator – and it turns out to be the same suspect following the same script.

In episode four, Bad Neighbours, a young man is caught and convicted of soliciting sex from a middle school girl. Then, another man has targets the same girl and the identity of the suspect has Detective Robert shaking his head, but once again, he’s able to get the victim a measure of justice.

Season 14 of Small Town Dicks launches this Friday, 5 April on all podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and SmallTownDicks.com.
