Vicki Michelle and Jeffrey Holland continue on Barmy Dale podcast

Actors Vicki Michelle and Jeffrey Holland, who joined the Barmy Dale podcast for the second series, are to continue to star in the sitcom.

Barmy Dale was created in lockdown by Martin Skellern and Stuart Wheeldon, who both grew up watching classic sitcoms Hi De Hi and Allo Allo. It’s set in a fictional Derbyshire village and revolves around the escapades of Keith Meadows and Dan Parker, usually ending with both getting themselves into some sort of trouble!

Writers, Martin and Stuart were thrilled when they approached sitcom stars Vicki Michelle (Allo Allo) and Jeffrey Holland (Hi De Hi) to star in their show.

The Sitcom has already garnered three nominations for best comedy podcast from around the world and is aiming even higher with a potential TV pilot being planned for later in the year. Production for the third series is about to begin.

Martin and Stuart said: “Both Vicki and Jeffrey have been main stays of the second series of Barmy Dale playing Angie Edwards and Rev Wilkins and were joined by Jeffreys wife Judy Buxton (Mildred Wilkins), Karl Howman (Brush Strokes) and Mike Fenton Stevens (Benidorm) in the series.

“We are excited about all of our actors staying with us for another new series, and recently we have been persuaded by the stars to look at making  a TV pilot of the show, this is something we are working on now.

“We have been very fortunate to be able to work with such great comic actors such as Vicki and Jeffrey, indeed all of our actors have actively encouraged us to get Barmy Dale out to a bigger audience.”

All episodes of Barmy Dale are featured on BBC Radio Derby and are available on all podcast platforms.
