iNHouse Communications has announced that voting is now open for the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by YouTube, in this year’s inaugural Political Podcast Awards.
You can choose from the 20 podcasts shortlisted for the other nine awards categories: celebrating the best newcomer, comedy moment, international podcast, interview, original format, presenter, producer, rising star, and scoop of the last twelve months.
Voting is open for two weeks, closing at midnight on Tuesday 21 January. The winner will be announced on 29 January at the Political Podcast Awards ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth in Westminster.
Chair of iNHouse Communications and Founder of the Political Podcast Awards, Katie Perrior said: “Political podcasts are revolutionising the way the public consumes their news, showing there is a growing appetite to hear more debate whilst still finding a way to disagree well.
“This respectful, informative, engaging and entertaining content is on the rise and listeners can’t get enough of it. That’s why we have launched the inaugural Political Podcast Awards – to celebrate the very best of this growing phenomenon.
“With judging of the other categories well underway, we are especially excited to open up what is possibly the most important award – chosen by listeners themselves – inviting as many podcast-lovers as possible to come forward and tell us their favourite”.
