59% revenue growth for one of Ireland’s most popular podcasts using Acast+

Fans of Ireland’s favourite podcast, The Tommy, Hector and Laurita Podcast, are signing up in their thousands to the show’s new Acast+ offering.

Newly launched membership tiers give listeners access to an ad-free version of the show, plus exclusive weekly bonus content that can only be heard by paying subscribers.

The Tommy, Hector and Laurita Podcast, which launched in September 2020, has already had seven million listens across 175 countries, and is seeing huge success in turning listeners into subscribers since introducing Acast+. In May, the show saw a 59% increase in monthly revenue.

Paying subscribers receive access to join Tommy, Hector and Laurita in the Hen House twice a week, with a bonus episode published each Monday alongside the usual free Thursday episode — which subscribers get ad-free.

“On average, our beta partners are seeing a 20% revenue boost since introducing Acast+, but THL have clearly smashed this benchmark thanks to the hugely loyal and passionate fanbase they’ve worked so hard to build. We’ve also seen that shows offering meaningful bonus content — fully produced, well-formatted episodes, at least bi-weekly — are performing 150% better than those only providing ad-free content.”
