Comedian, podcaster and writer Deborah Frances-White is joining the Skylark Collective to host this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards.
The awards exist to amplify the voices of women in podcasting, and provide recognition to women and non-binary folk – both behind the mic and behind-the-scenes – who have created incredible audio moments and intimate listening experiences.
Naomi Mellor, founder of the International Women’s Podcast Awards, said: “I am so excited to announce Deborah as our host for this year’s awards. The Guilty Feminist has been essential listening for both men and women the world over since its inception, and Deborah tackles sensitive, difficult and taboo topics with grace and humour.
“Her passion for creating great content and supporting others has been recognised the world over, and her advocacy for other women and non-binary podcasters is second to none. We can’t wait to welcome her to The Conduit.”
The International Women’s Podcast Awards will be hosted at The Conduit in London on Thursday 29 September. The Conduit was established to accelerate solutions to the world’s greatest challenges, from climate change and sustainability to racial and gender equity. The six-storey building is home to a global community of people passionate about achieving positive social, environmental and economic change.
Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Paul van Zyl, commented: “As an organisation dedicated to positive social impact, we are privileged to be hosting the International Women’s Podcast Awards at The Conduit. One of our fundamental beliefs is that seeing the world through the eyes of another is a powerful tool for social change, and the nominees in this year’s awards are testament to that power.”

- Moment of Behind-the-Scenes Brilliance
