Podcast based on the UN’s Global Goals returns for new season

The award-winning podcast, An Idiot’s Guide to Saving the World is back for its second season.

In 2015, 193 world leaders committed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (the ‘Global Goals’) at the United Nations. But what are these goals? How are they being achieved? And how can we get involved?

Co-founder of Project Everyone, Gail Gallie and South African comedian Loyiso Madinga answer these questions and take you on a journey across the globe to explore the Goals and the issues that sit within them.

In the second series of the podcast, Gail and Loyiso demystify the gloomy narrative and bring some optimism to leave you feeling empowered and armed with ideas and the ability to take action. No finger-wagging, crusading or catastrophising, but rather a fun and fascinating dive into how we can play our own parts in saving the world.

Episodes include how to combat our growing mental health crisis, reforming how we think about the financial system, how tech can save the day, why we need to consume more mindfully, designing for equality and women taking control of the narrative.

A range of guests will feature, including presenter of The Rest is Politics Rory Stewart, speaker Molly Burke, actor Will Poulter, historian Rutger Bregman and Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research Johan Rockstrom.

An Idiot’s Guide to Saving the World is an Auddy production, made in collaboration with Project Everyone and the first episode in available now.
