Scott Mills and Rylan Clark have taken their BBC Radio 2 Pop Top 10 podcast in front of a live audience for the very first time.
They were joined by Ella Henderson for a special karaoke-themed episode.
The recording took place at Chelmsford Theatre on 2 September, just days before Radio 2 in the Park takes over Hylands Park in Essex.
With the crowd playing their part, the trio debated the ultimate karaoke songs before finally crowning Robbie Williams’ Angels as their number one.
The live podcast was hosted by Radio 2’s Ellie Taylor and brought together plenty of music chat, audience participation and Ella’s take on what makes the perfect singalong track.
The singer, who performs on the main stage at Radio 2 in the Park this Saturday, was quick to share her own karaoke favourites and joined Scott and Rylan in the countdown.
The final top ten karaoke anthems were:

Scott and Rylan’s Pop Top 10 podcast regularly sees the pair rank the biggest tracks, artists and moments in pop culture, often joined by celebrity guests such as Katherine Ryan, Denise Van Outen and Josh Widdicombe. The live edition was no exception, with plenty of audience involvement and big reactions to each song chosen.
Speaking about the event, Scott Mills said: “Doing this live with Rylan and Ella in front of such an amazing audience was brilliant. Karaoke is something everyone has a view on, and it was so much fun hearing people sing along with us.”
The episode is now available on BBC Sounds, with the live show also airing on BBC Radio 2 on 6 September from 1am to 2am.
