Award-winning true crime podcast Small Town Dicks is returning for its seventeenth season, launching today, Friday 12 September.
The series, which has amassed more than 60 million downloads and released over 200 episodes, is known for its detailed storytelling of real-life investigations, told by the detectives who solved them.
The new season begins with a harrowing case involving a young victim. When a second, strikingly similar incident comes to light, investigators realise they are dealing with a pattern of crimes. The search quickly escalates into a high-stakes undercover operation aimed at stopping the suspect and protecting vulnerable young people.
Small Town Dicks is hosted by Yeardley Smith, best known as the voice of Lisa Simpson, alongside identical twin detectives Dan and Dave, and cold case investigator and New York Times bestselling author Paul Holes.
The podcast has become a standout in the crowded true crime space, picking up major industry recognition along the way.
It won Adweek’s 2022 Podcast of the Year Award for Hosts of the Year, three Gold Signal Awards in 2023 for Best Co-Host Team, Individual Episode: True Crime, and Best Exclusive Content + Experiences, and a 2024 People’s Voice Webby Award for Crime & Justice.
It is also currently nominated for the People’s Choice Podcast Awards in the True Crime category.
