Pushkin Industries has launched a new bi-weekly podcast, Decoding Women’s Health, hosted by leading gynaecologic oncologist and women’s health expert Dr Elizabeth Poynor.
The series explores the science and lived experience of women’s midlife health – a field that has long been underrepresented in mainstream medical conversations.
With more than four decades of experience, Dr Poynor, who chairs women’s health and gynaecology at the Atria Health and Research Institute, will bring bring clarity and evidence-based guidance to complex topics that affect millions of women.
Each episode will unpack emerging research, offering practical insights into how women can improve their health and well-being through every stage of midlife.
Episodes will feature conversations with respected researchers, clinicians and educators, covering areas including hormones, metabolism, menopause, genetic risk, heart health, nutrition and cognitive performance.
Guests in upcoming episodes include Dr Caroline Gurvich on perimenopause and executive function, Dr Susan Domchek on genetic cancer risks, Dr Staci Ann Gruber on marijuana use, Dr Beverly Tchang on metabolism and GLP-1s, and Dr Richard Isaacso on mental acuity.
Dr Poynor said the goal of Decoding Women’s Health is to translate cutting-edge science “into empowering, evidence-based insights women can actually use to improve their health spans.”
