Fresh from his breakout run on The Celebrity Traitors, Joe Marler is launching a brand-new video podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now.
The former England rugby star takes on an unconventional new role as a self-styled, unqualified psychologist, putting a humorous spin on the traditional celebrity interview.
Produced by Folding Pocket, the Platform Media label behind The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, the new podcast will be available on BBC Sounds.
This marks the first time the platform has licensed an entertainment show from its original launch, signalling a fresh direction for the BBC’s podcast slate.
Since The Celebrity Traitors launched in October, Marler’s eccentric personality and sharp instincts have made him a household name.
His performance in the show’s finale, where he became a fan favourite among the ‘Faithful’, cemented his reputation for being both unpredictable and perceptive – traits he’ll now bring into his new role as host.
In Joe Marler Will See You Now, celebrity guests, including some of his former Traitors co-stars, are invited into Joe’s mock “clinic” for a unique psychological session. Each episode will mix probing questions, outlandish personality tests, and spontaneous humour, leading to bizarre yet revealing conversations.
Marler has built a career that spans sport, media, and mental health advocacy. Speaking about the new show, he said: “I am really excited to be launching a new podcast with a twist! Think Good Will Hunting meets The Goonies. I’ve always loved asking questions and learning new things – this show lets me do it in the most surreal, unpredictable way.”
Joe Marler Will See You Now launches at 6pm on Thursday 13 November, fully visualised and available on all major podcast platforms.
