Former NPR Morning Edition host David Greene is launching a new podcast; David Greene Is Obsessed.
Each week, he explores the passions and fixations that drive people, from the light-hearted to the life-changingand what these obsessions reveal about being human.
In each episode, Greene dives into a different fascination, whether it’s food, sport, rituals, or something entirely unexpected. Through open and often funny conversations, he and his guests unpack how obsession shapes creativity, identity, and purpose.
Upcoming guests include chef Michael Symon on his unwavering devotion to the Cleveland Browns, actor David Arquette on buying the rights to Bozo the Clown, and Singaporean Barbie collector Jian Yang on the link between identity and obsession.
Greene also talks with comedian Tig Notaro about giving up meat, photographer Elias Weiss Friedman (The Dogist) about his love of dogs, and librarian Rosie Grant, who travels the world visiting cemeteries in search of recipes.
