Father and son John and Tommy Fury launch new visualised BBC podcast

Professional boxer and television personality Tommy Fury is teaming up with his father, boxing legend John Fury, to host a new visualised podcast

What the Fury?! is a ten-part series of thirty-minute episodes, produced by All3Mediaโ€™s Optomen, and filmed at the iconic Holmes Chapel Boxing Club in Cheshire.

Coming to BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds soon, the series will bring the famously different worldviews of the pair together in one studio.

The father and son duo will debate major themes that have changed significantly over recent decades, including modern masculinity, parenting, relationships, artificial intelligence and how society is evolving.

Each episode will be framed as a clash between Johnโ€™s traditional outlook and Tommyโ€™s Gen Z perspective.

Tommy and John Fury said: “Weโ€™re a father and son who see the world completely differently but somehow ended up doing a podcast together. It’s a clash of the old school versus new school, with all the fighting talk you’d expect from us Furysโ€.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC said: โ€œTommy and John Fury will pull no punches as they take their energy and spirit from the hit tv show into this new visualised podcast.

โ€œAudiences will have a front row seat as the each discuss their views on modern day topics like only the Furys canโ€.
