A new podcast focused on practical marketing advice for therapists has launched today, aiming to challenge outdated guidance in a fast-changing digital landscape.
Practice Marketing Insider, created and hosted by Kristie Plantinga, is designed to address what she sees as a gap between traditional marketing advice and the realities shaped by artificial intelligence and evolving online behaviour.
Kristie, founder of Place Digital, says the weekly series will offer direct and detailed insights for mental health professionals seeking sustainable growth, rather than relying on commonly repeated strategies that may no longer deliver results.
She explains: “There are so many platforms and professionals that tell therapists what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. On Practice Marketing Insider, I’ll do the opposite. Total transparency about what’s actually working.”
Each episode focuses on a specific piece of marketing advice, breaking down why it may be ineffective and outlining alternative approaches that can be applied in a modern practice.
The aim is to provide clear actions listeners can implement, rather than broad or generalised recommendations.
Topics in early episodes include the risks of relying on high-volume blogging in an AI-driven environment, the importance of consistent marketing rather than reactive campaigns, and why growth strategies may require stepping outside personal comfort zones.
The podcast will also feature interviews with industry figures, including Felicia Keller Boyle and Michael Fulwiler, offering additional perspectives from within the therapy marketing sector.
Produced by PodVision, the series is aimed at a wide range of professionals, from solo practitioners to those managing larger group practices looking to scale their operations.
Episode one is available from today, 14 April, with new episodes released weekly across major podcast platforms.
