DTP Group launches podcast exploring IT leadership challenges

A new podcast will examine how organisations manage technology and performance in practice.

DTP Group is launching Control Alt Disrupt, a six-part monthly series focused on the realities facing IT leaders and businesses navigating digital change.

Hosted by BBC presenter Abbie Dewhurst, the podcast brings together industry experts, business leaders and technical specialists to explore the gap between expectations of technology and how it actually works within organisations.

The series begins in early May and will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, forming part of the company’s wider thought leadership activity.

Each episode will address a key issue affecting modern workplaces, including productivity, team performance, cybersecurity and operational efficiency, with a focus on practical insight rather than high-level discussion.

The opening episode features Andrew Fawcett, EUC Professional Services Manager at DTP Group, alongside Deon Williams, Business Development Manager for Software and Digital Services at HP.

Their conversation looks at how increasing complexity in technology environments is influencing productivity and decision-making for leaders.

A second episode turns to cybersecurity, examining why breaches continue to rise despite growing investment, and how organisations often focus on symptoms rather than underlying causes.

Later in the series, former England rugby captain Jamie Peacock joins DTP Group Chief Financial Officer Steve Clegg to discuss performance under pressure, comparing leadership behaviours and accountability in both sport and business.

The podcast will also go beyond technical considerations, looking at the wider organisational decisions and cultural factors that shape outcomes.

Abbie Dewhurst said: “Hosting CTRL, ALT, Disrupt podcast has been such a surprising highlight for me. I came in with no IT background, but the conversations have been truly captivating. It feels like we’re in a very promising period where the correct mindset can ensure smoother operations.”

She added that one of her main takeaways is the shift from reacting to problems towards a more proactive approach to IT management.
