A new podcast linking cycling with mental wellbeing has launched during Mental Health Awareness Week.
On Your Bike brings together 90s fitness figure Mr Motivator and London-based e-bike manufacturer VOLT Bikes for a series focused on movement, mindset and everyday activity.
The podcast’s first episode features broadcaster Jeremy Vine as the opening guest, followed by Laura Hamilton and Dr Amir Khan in subsequent bi-weekly episodes.
Recorded as part of a wider launch event, the project mixes conversations about mental health with demonstrations of e-bike technology, reflecting VOLT’s focus on encouraging accessible transport and active lifestyles.
VOLT Bikes operates from London Bridge, with its bikes assembled in Milton Keynes, and was founded by brothers James Metcalfe and Lyle Metcalfe, who were previously recognised among The Standard’s Top 100 people shaping London.
The podcast features a mix of well-known names across sport, broadcasting and entertainment, including Aimee Fuller, Levi Roots, Kadeena Cox, Shaun Wallace and Rustie Lee, each discussing personal experiences of resilience, wellbeing and staying active.
Jeremy opens the series by discussing burnout and its impact, while other guests cover topics such as confidence, overcoming setbacks and maintaining positivity through everyday routines.
The series will present practical and relatable approaches to mental health, with a focus on simple actions like getting outside and moving more regularly.
The launch aligns with Mental Health Awareness Week today, 14 May, positioning the podcast within a wider national conversation about wellbeing and preventative health.
New episodes of On Your Bike will continue throughout the series, released every two weeks.
