Lioness Beth Mead launches celebrity interview podcast series

Beth Mead is launching a weekly interview podcast featuring sport, television and entertainment guests.

The Beth Mead Show will see the England footballer speak to guests about the moments and experiences that shaped their lives and careers.

Guests confirmed for the first series include comedian Maisie Adam, podcaster GK Barry alongside Portsmouth FC player Ella Rutherford, Karen Carney, Roman Kemp, Grace Campbell and Harriet Rose.

Beth is one of England’s most recognised footballers, winning the UEFA Women’s Euros twice, claiming the tournament’s Golden Boot award and being named BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

The podcast marks a move into audio presenting for her, who says the format offers a different side to her public profile away from football.

Speaking about the launch, Beth said: “I’m so excited to launch The Beth Mead Show. A podcast is so different to anything I’ve done in my career so far, and I’m looking forward to be on the other side of the interview process.”

She added: “I can’t wait to show people different sides to myself and my amazing guests, and grow something I hope my fans, old and new, can enjoy.”

The show will focus on conversations around success, setbacks and resilience, alongside lighter moments and personal stories from guests across sport, television, music and comedy.

Episode one featuring Maisie Adam is available from today, 26 May on major podcast platforms. New episodes will be released every Tuesday.
