Acast and EuroMillions partner to launch brand-new podcast
Acast has partnered with EuroMillions from The National Lottery for a podcast to find out what celebrities would spend their hypothetical winnings on.
The new series, Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams, features a lineup of celebrities exploring the fantastical possibilities of winning a £200 million jackpot in an original idea from Acast.
Hosted by Sarel, known for her engaging style in the Closet Confessions podcast, the series brings together guests, including Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson, Grace Dent, Richard Herring, and Andi and Miquita Oliver.
Every Friday, a new guest will be invited to sit down and plan how they’d spend their hundreds of millions, covering their first purchases, their long-term plan, and the charitable causes they’d champion.
The bigger the jackpot, the more extravagant the ideas. Sarel and her guests won’t be discussing what you’d do with a few million – the focus here will always be on how you’d spend hundreds of millions of pounds. A EuroMillion-sized jackpot!
Each episode will not only be available on the Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams main feed but will also be released on the guests’ own podcast feeds once a week.
Additionally, there will also be exclusive content across social media channels, including vox pop interviews with the public and special segments from other popular podcasters.
Eddie Scott, Acast Creative Director, UK said: “Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams taps into a universal fantasy and brings it to life through the intimate and engaging format of podcasting.
“This series not only entertains but also stitches together the common dreams that unite us all, irrespective of our geographical or social divides. It’s about indulging in one of Britain’s favourite pastimes—imagining ‘what if?’.
“This branded content series is the perfect way for National Lottery operator Allwyn to showcase the endless possibilities that can happen with winning. Podcast creatives like this go beyond audio, tying together multi-channel touchpoints across video, social and sponsorship to deliver phenomenal content to consumers.”
Ali Grinham, Senior EuroMillions Brand Manager at Allwyn added: “We’re really excited to explore what people would get up to if they secured a massive EuroMillions-sized jackpot.
“That’s why we’re working with Acast to deliver an entertaining series of podcasts that showcase the diverse dreams, aspirations and endless possibilities that could be possible with a truly life-changing EuroMillions win.
“We can’t wait to hear all the weird and wonderful things that our famous guests come up with!”
The series is available on all podcast platforms and YouTube starting from today, 27 September.
