Acast sees profit growth and new partnerships in Q2 2026

Acast has achieved a significant milestone by launching the first integrated video advertising campaigns on Apple Podcasts, marking a new phase in podcast monetisation.

In May, Acast enabled video ads for more than 180 shows on Apple Podcasts, publishing over 1,000 episodes and attracting major brands such as State Farm and T-Mobile to the platform.

The company reported organic net sales growth of 29% for the second quarter of 2026, with net sales reaching SEK 775.6 million, up 28% year-on-year.

North America and Europe both contributed nearly equal incremental revenue, with North America growing 34% and Europe 25%. Other markets added 17% growth.

Average Revenue Per Listen or View (ARPLV) increased by 26% to SEK 0.69, reflecting strong advertiser demand for podcast inventory. The total number of listens and views grew by 2% compared to the same period last year.

Acast’s adjusted EBITDA margin rose to 7%, with EBITDA reaching SEK 57.7 million, a significant improvement from a negative margin in the previous year.

Adjusted EBIT turned positive at SEK 31.6 million, representing a 4% margin. Cash flow from operating activities also improved, amounting to SEK 50.1 million.

The company expanded its network with new partnerships, including The Washington Post, The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, and The Comment Section with Drew Afualo. These additions are expected to bring highly engaged, multi-channel audiences to advertisers.

Acast’s creative output was recognised with two major awards this quarter. Divine Intervention, from Acast Creative Studios, won a 2026 Peabody Award, and Pablo Torre Finds Out received the Pulitzer Prize for Audio Reporting.

Chief Executive Officer Ross Adams commented: “That growth is increasingly translating into profitability, underscoring that our strategy of scaling revenues ahead of costs is working as intended.”

Acast plans to expand its measurement of listens and views to include YouTube by the third quarter report, as it works with the IAB to establish industry standards for cross-format audience engagement.
