London Podcast Festival returns to King’s Place in September

Now in its eighth year, the London Podcast Festival will return to King’s Place from 7-17 September.

Kings Place is the UK’s home of live podcasting, having presented podcast shows since 2010 before the launch of the London Podcast Festival in 2016 which was Europe’s first major podcast festival.

The eleven-day Festival will bring together some of the biggest names in podcasting and new talent with a line-up of live shows, workshops, meet and greets, panels and more, in a celebration of the artform.

World of Wonder podcast network launches summer season of titles

World of Wonder has announced a summer slate of podcasts on the WOW Podcast Network.

Leading the line-up is a third season of the World of Wonder co-founder-hosted “Night Fever,” and the launch of two all new podcasts: “And Just Like Matt” and “I Feel Love Connie.” These series are joined in a line-up alongside WOW Podcast Network titles, including “Homophilia” and “UNHhhh”.

Show on the Road takes celebrities out of the studio for a personalised road trip around the places that shaped them. 

The new eight-part series from Auto Trader, sees presenter and podcaster Alex Legouix in the driver’s seat taking her guests on a trip combining nostalgic sights with reflections their career. From their old school to their favourite chip shop, the chat goes down avenues that no other studio-based show gets to explore.

Decorating by the Book ends second season with third announced

The design book podcast, Decorating by the Book season two concludes after a standout partnership with vizzy.fm.

Across the series, design book conversations took place with the likes of David Jimenez, Robert Sackville-West, Amanda Sims Clifford, Hilton Carter, Thomas Kligerman, Ajiri Aki, Leslie Banker and more.

There was a groundbreaking visual experience for listeners resulting from the partnering with vizzy.fm.

Global launches new Legends of the Ashes podcast series

A brand new ten-part original podcast series, Legends of The Ashes is being launched by Global.

Lifelong cricket fan and current Marylebone Cricket Club President, Stephen Fry is the host and it’s written by Simon Hughes. Simon is known in cricket as The Analyst for his unique work in explaining the game.

The series features contributions from a range of legendary names in Ashes history, hearing from the likes of Lord Botham, Sir Andrew Strauss, Michael Vaughan, Glenn McGrath, Justin Langer and modern-day heroes such as Stuart Broad and Steve Smith.
