Audioboom has reported higher revenue and profitability driven by growth in advertising and video for Q1 2026.
The company recorded revenue of $22.5 million for the three months to 31 March, up 30% on the same period last year.
Gross profit rose to $4.8 million, an increase of 41%, with margins improving to 21.3% as the business focused on higher quality revenue and updated creator agreements.
Adjusted EBITDA reached $1.4 million, up 118% year on year, with the company pointing to stable operating costs and improved efficiency across the platform.
Average monthly downloads and views increased to 170 million, a rise of 79%. The company says this was supported by its acquisition of Adelicious last year, growth in video podcasting, and new content partnerships.
New shows joining the network include Crooked Media, RedHanded and Hear Me Out, contributing more than 20 million monthly downloads and views and expanding available advertising inventory.
Audioboom also launched partnerships with Spotify and Apple during the quarter. The company says these will support the development of its video monetisation offering through advertising and subscription opportunities.
The business held its first UK upfront event in London, presenting podcast content to advertisers and agencies.
Revenue per thousand downloads and views fell to $45.10, compared to $60.83 last year. The company says this reflects growth in lower yield video content and UK audiences but highlights potential for future monetisation gains.
Chief Executive Stuart Last said: “2026 is off to a flying start for Audioboom with new major podcast signings, the launch of commercial partnerships in video, and excellent financial performance by all metrics.
“Our focus on high quality revenue delivered gross profit 41% up on Q1 2025, and our stable cost-base ensured we maximised profitability with adjusted EBITDA growth of 118%.”
The company ended the quarter with $5.5 million in cash, alongside access to a further $3.4 million through an overdraft facility.
