Sir Bradley Wiggins’ Café Aficionado is a brand-new cycling podcast produced by Atomized Studios and hosted on the Sport Social Podcast Network.
The new series is described as a destination for cycling enthusiasts to share in the magic, myths and hidden stories of the sport’s greatest road races.
Co-presented by Bradley’s friend, broadcaster and cycling journalist Graham Willgoss, the podcast will go behind the scenes of iconic events like the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España.
Across the series, Bradley and Graham will be joined by some of cycling’s biggest names, including Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish and Pippa York.
Each episode will include entertaining anecdotes, deep dives into cycling history, and fresh insights from riders who have shaped the sport.
Episodes one and two launch on 24 June, featuring Geraint Thomas and cycling journalist Chris Sidwells.
Together they relive how Geraint conquered Alpe d’Huez in the Yellow Jersey and pay tribute to Sidwells’ uncle, Tom Simpson, Britain’s first road world champion who died on Mont Ventoux. New episodes will release weekly from 1 July.
Bradley said: “I’m excited to be back behind the mic with Graham discussing all things cycling. I’m re-discovering my love for the sport that gave me everything, and I’m looking forward to unearthing the stories we’ve never heard before from some of the greats.”
Graham Willgoss added: “Think of our new podcast as if you were stopping at your favourite cycling café, sharing stories and having a giggle — only you can do it with us alongside some of the greatest riders and biggest names in the history of the sport. Get the flat whites in.”
Stefan Doyle, Head of Sport Social Podcast Network, said: “Bradley Wiggins is one of the most iconic figures in British sport. To have him bring his voice and vision to the network is a huge moment.
“The podcast will offer cycling fans the opportunity to hear a kind of perspective you only get from someone who has lived the highs and lows of elite sport.”
Sir Bradley Wiggins’ Café Aficionado is available on Sport Social and all major podcast platforms from 24 June.
