Bridget Todd’s Beef podcast returns with new history feuds

Next Chapter Podcasts’ Beef with Bridget Todd, the award-winning scripted non-fiction podcast exploring rivalries that shaped the world, is back!

The Ambie-nominated and Communicator and Signal Award-winning series has returned for season three with 12 episodes plus bonus content.

Hosted by Bridget Todd, the show tells stories of legends who tried to destroy their rivals only to find that their enemies became the driving force behind their success, changing history forever.

The new season covers feuds including Harry Houdini vs. The Spiritualists, Werner Herzog vs. Klaus Kinski, Denmark vs. Sweden, Bill Russell vs. Wilt Chamberlain, and Genghis Khan vs. The World.

Bridget Todd said: “What I love about telling these stories is that it lets us be totally unflinching. We take a long hard look at, in some cases, some of the most important people in history, and drink in everything, warts and all.

“It reminds you that while that kind of naked, dirt-under-your-fingernails humanity may not be pretty, it’s who we are in the end.

“We might not want to acknowledge all the jealousy, envy, unwillingness to compromise and eagerness to take things personally in us as much as all the good stuff. But it’s all part of us, and sometimes it helps change the world.”

Todd is also known for her podcast There Are No Girls on the Internet and her work advocating for safer digital spaces for women and marginalised communities. She’s currently the Director of Communication for Ultraviolet, a national gender-justice advocacy organisation.

Beef with Bridget Todd is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major platforms.
