Cambridge Audio launches Mic Check video series with Rough Trade
British music and audio pioneer, Cambridge Audio, is launching Mic Check, a video series made in collaboration with independent music retailer Rough Trade.
Set against the backdrop of Rough Trade stores, the series captures fun and intimate interviews with artists and bands before their performances in-store.
The first two episodes feature British singer-songwriter Nilüfer Yanya and instrumental quartet Los Bitchos, exploring their musical tastes, showcasing their favourite records and occasionally talking about rubbish dinosaur parks and 80s Miami.
Since May 2024, Cambridge Audio has been the audio partner of Rough Trade, pumping music through the stores in London (East and West), Bristol, Liverpool and Berlin.
Alva ST turntables are exclusively used in Rough Trade listening stations, alongside Alva Duo phono preamps.
Following the launch of its successful Made By Music podcast in 2023, Cambridge Audio says Mic Check further reinforces that it is unlike any other audio company – not just acoustic engineers, but bona fide music lovers, emotionally connecting listeners to the songs they love.
Each Cambridge product is designed, tuned and engineered at the company’s own London-based music venue and HQ, Melomania.
The Cambridge portfolio has welcomed seven new products already in 2024, including the company’s first over-ear headphones, first wireless streaming speaker, and collaborations with DeLorean as well as The Charlatans’ frontman Tim Burgess and fashion brand Hikerdelic.
All episodes of Mic Check will be available on the Cambridge Audio YouTube channel.
