Chris Quinn has been appointed Executive Producer at Platform Media, where he will oversee content and growth for The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast during the World Cup.
Quinn has 14 years of production experience, having worked on well-known UK television formats such as A League of Their Own, Last Leg of the Paralympics, and Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
The Good, The Bad and The Football is hosted by Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, alongside comedian Paddy McGuinness.
Since its launch in September 2025, the show has quickly built a dedicated audience, achieving over 500 million cross-platform views, more than 800,000 followers, and half a million hours of consumption in the past month.
Recent growth has led to headline sponsorship from Midnite for both Fight Your Corner and The Good, The Bad and The Football, highlighting the value of investment in talent and intellectual property.
Chris said: “What Platform has built in sport in a short space of time is genuinely impressive — the numbers, the talent, the IP. That tells you everything about the foundation here. The strategy here has no ceiling and I’m excited to push that as far as possible.”
Conor Hewitt, Head of Sport at Platform Media, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome Chris at such a pivotal point for Platform’s sports slate. The appetite from audiences, sponsors and talent has never been stronger. Chris joins with the experience to match that ambition and makes him a hugely valuable addition to the team.”
Quinn’s appointment reflects Platform Media’s strategy to invest in visual content and expand its original podcast IP, aiming to build content around the stories and personalities that resonate with audiences.
