Clive Dickens, co-founder of Absolute Radio and a former Capital Radio executive, has launched a new international advisory business focused on digital innovation and AI transformation.
The Meliora Company brings together leaders from the original Absolute Radio team, including Anthony Abbott and Tony Moorey, and will operate from London, Sydney and Los Angeles.
The company will support telecom, media and technology brands with strategy, product development and creative ventures.
Meliora has three core divisions: Meliora Advisory, a boutique consultancy; Meliora Ventures, which backs early-stage CTO-led startups; and Meliora Creative, a new IP fund for emerging creative talent.
Dickens and his team were pioneers of digital audio innovation in the UK, launching addressable in-stream ads as early as 2011 and moving podcast commissioning into the mainstream from 2009. By 2014, over half of Absolute Radio’s revenue came from non-traditional sources.
Speaking about the new venture, Clive Dickens said: “The pace of technological change is accelerating, and Meliora is about redefining the skillset a boutique advisory can bring to medium and large enterprise.”
He added that with the rise of AI and generative tools, many businesses are struggling to keep pace. “Meliora is uniquely positioned to help TMT businesses across EMEA accelerate their AI transformation,” he said.
