Crossed Wires adds final headliners for Sheffield festival return

New podcast shows and live recordings are set to take centre stage as Crossed Wires confirms its final headliners for this year’s event.

The Sheffield-based podcast festival has added a range of high-profile names and shows, expanding its live programme across four days in July.

Among the newly announced acts is Jemma Sbeg, who will bring The Psychology of Your 20s to the stage, exploring the challenges and behaviours associated with early adulthood, alongside insights into building a successful podcast.

Alice Levine and Matt Forde will present British Scandal live, focusing on the personal stories behind major UK controversies that have shaped public life.

Comedy actor Paul Whitehouse joins Mine Conkbayir for a live edition of I’m ADHD! No You’re Not, where they examine neurodiversity through a mix of discussion and humour, alongside a yet-to-be-announced guest.

Danny Robins returns with Uncanny, staging a live version of Uncanny: Cold Cases at the Lyceum Theatre, continuing his exploration of unexplained events.

Former world champion Johnny Nelson will also appear with That Boxing Show, offering analysis and commentary drawn from his experience in the sport.

The line-up also includes Fun Kids Science Weekly, bringing interactive science content for younger audiences as part of the wider programme.

These additions join previously announced shows including How to Fail with Elizabeth Day, JaackMaate’s Happy Hour, The Elis & John Show and The Blindboy Podcast.

The BBC will return with the BBC Sounds Fringe, offering free shows and a dedicated takeover from BBC Radio 4, with further acts still to be announced.

Dino Sofos, Crossed Wires co-founder, says: “Are we in for a treat this summer! Huge names, cult favourites and future classics all heading to Sheffield for the biggest podcasting party in the world. We can’t wait. Grab your tickets before it’s too late!”

Crossed Wires runs from 2 to 5 July and will once again take place across venues in Sheffield, following last year’s event which attracted 25,000 attendees.

Tickets are currently available via pre-sale via CrossedWires.Live, with general sale opening at 11am on 27 March.
