Dan Snow’s History Hit podcast undergoes refresh and rebrand
The award-winning SVOD content platform, History Hit is rebranding and refreshing its flagship podcast, Dan Snow’s History Hit.
Already achieving over 3 million listens each month, the refreshed podcast will aim to deepen its engagement with its loyal subscribers and attract new audiences.
The podcast has a new design and an updated publishing schedule as a result of listener behaviour data. It’s been designed to give listeners more time to enjoy each episode and for Dan Snow to delve deeper into the historical topics they love.
Featuring three new releases every week, episodes will now be released on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Steve Lanham, Head of Podcasts for History Hit said: “We’re always listening and learning from what our listeners tell us. The refresh is centred on fitting our episodes around times which suit our listeners best. We are committed to bringing more of the stories that our audience loves, with even better storytelling and more in-depth analysis.”
Dan Snow, Founder and Creative Director of History Hit and host of the podcast, added: “We’ve listened to our fans and are excited to bring them this refreshed podcast experience. Whether we’re exploring ancient tombs or explaining the historical context behind today’s news, our goal is to make history accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyone.”
In addition to Dan Snow’s History Hit, the History Hit network produces a variety of other popular podcasts, including The Ancients, Gone Medieval, Not Just the Tudors, Betwixt the Sheets, American History Hit, and After Dark.
With more than 8 million listens a month across eight shows, History Hit offers 16 episodes of history content weekly.
This news follows on from the recent announcement about the Ubisoft podcast Echoes of History relaunching on the History Hit network.
History Hit was acquired by award-winning content studio and digital media network Little Dot Studios (an All3Media company) in 2020.
