A new weekly podcast will cover the 99 percent of the game that gets lost behind the weekly football news cycle.
Football publisher MUNDIAL has returned to the studio after a two-year break, with the aim to remind fans why they love football. The company was acquired by football media company, Footballco last year.
Part zoo format, part magazine show, Reminding You Why You Love Football is a mix of non-league, nostalgia, kits, boots, quizzes and features regular guests.
MUNDIAL’s previous podcast was the multi-award-winning GIANT, a Spotify Original series that won best Sports Podcast at the British Podcast Awards in 2021, and Gold in the Narrative or Documentary category at the New York Festivals.
Host and MUNDIAL’s editorial director, Owen Blackhurst said: “It would be easy to ask why we’re doing a chat cast when long-form documentaries are our speciality, and the answer is threefold.
“One, we want to join the gaps between magazine launches and allow our readers behind the curtain. Two, we want to be able to introduce people to more brilliant stories from all areas of the game and three, we love the sound of our own voices and believe we can add something fresh to the weekly market.”
As well as the weekly podcast, social clips from the show will be shared through MUNDIAL social channels and the podcast will be supported by global football publication, GOAL which is also owned by Footballco.
The Reminding you why you Love Football podcast is available on all podcast platforms.
