Apart from being Harry Styles’ big sister, Gemma Styles is a journalist and writer with a huge following online, who is launching a new podcast series.
Good Influence with Gemma Styles will aim to educate, inform and raise awareness of issues close to her heart, including mental health, feminism and sustainability.
The 12 episode series will hear Gemma talk with experts in particular fields (including mental health, low waste cooking, therapy, sustainability, climate change and boundaries) for educational yet relatable conversations.
Guests include poet and mental health activist Charly Cox, zero waste chef and sustainability advocate Max La Manna and author, speaker, and life coach Michelle Elman.
Gemma said: “I’ve always strived to use the online platform I have for something good, so when I got the opportunity to extend that into a podcast, I couldn’t say no.
“It’s great to be able to learn from a host of people I admire in this format and my aim is that people listening will get some new perspectives and understanding from our conversations too.”
Since she found herself with an unexpected platform on social media ten years ago (thanks to her younger brother’s musical success) Gemma has written for Glamour, Teen Vogue, Refinery29 and more, designed a sunglasses line with sustainability at the forefront and contributed to Scarlett Curtis’ book ‘It’s Not Ok to Feel Blue (and Other Lies).
Good Influence with Gemma Styles is available on Global Player, or wherever you get your podcasts, from 9 November, with new episodes every Monday.
