Goalhanger launches monthly masterclass to open doors into podcasting

Goalhanger has launched Greenroom, a new free monthly livestreamed series offering behind-the-scenes insight into the making of top podcasts.

Hosted by Assistant Producer India Dunkley, Greenroom is aimed at those who feel they are outside the media industry, whether because they lack contacts, formal qualifications, or simply don’t know how to get started.

The first session, How to Produce a Politics Podcast, takes place at 6pm BST on 7 July, led by The Rest Is Politics Senior Producer Dom Johnson.

You can find out more and register here.

India Dunkley said: “Podcasts are, by nature, open and inclusive — and working in the industry should reflect that.

“But the truth is, if you don’t live in the right place, know the right people, or feel confident breaking in, it’s easy to feel shut out. Goalhanger’s Greenroom is about changing that. I’m really proud to have created it and I can’t wait to share it.”
