The Guardian is expanding its news and politics podcasts to give comprehensive coverage, in-depth reporting, and behind-the-scenes insights of the US election.
Today in Focus will bring back its daily Election Extra episodes with Guardian journalist Lucy Hough reporting on the latest news from the campaign trail.
In addition to US Election Extra, on the main show, hosts Michael Safi and Helen Pidd will bring listeners in-depth episodes leading up to election day. On election night, Michael will be reporting on the results from the US, while Helen will be connecting with Guardian reporters across key battleground states.
The Politics Weekly America podcast will see host Jonathan Freedland and guests discuss the latest news from the election every Friday. At the end of October Jonathan will be heading to America, visiting key swing states to bring all of the latest updates from both campaigns plus election night news from Washington.
