Hit mockumentary podcast reveals what really goes on behind the scenes of the Premier League

To celebrate the return of the Premier League, hit spoof podcast The Offensive is returning for a fourth series from next Monday.

The podcast follows the trials and tribulations of fictional Premier League club, Ashwood City FC.

Winning a British Podcast Award in 2019, The Offensive invites listeners to observe the chaos, comical amateurishness and the desperate self-interest of Ashwood City’s board members, chief executives, directors and players.

The Thick of It in footballing podcast form, The Offensive is fiction not far from fact. The podcast covers the boardroom circus familiar to most Premier League clubs through satirical dialogue in football’s most loved voices including Chris Kamara, Jim White, Jon Champion, Peter Drury and Sven-Göran Eriksson.

From Stak, makers of Bernie: Who Killed the Prince of Soho? and Football Ramble, series 4 of The Offensive covers the club’s move to introduce vaccine passports, their attempts to break into the top six of the Premier League and their reaction to the racist abuse of black players, amongst much more.

The Offensive is available every Monday from 16 August on Apple, Spotify, Acast and all podcast providers.
