LGBTQ+ news podcast PRIDE Daily celebrates first birthday
PRIDE Daily, the world’s only daily LGBTQ+ news podcast, celebrates its first birthday on 16 October.
Produced and presented by former BBC Radio 5 Live broadcaster Kev McGrath, the two minute update targets not just queer people, but everyone: “If you’re not on board the LGBTQ+ bus yourself, you definitely know someone who is,” he says.
Over the last 12 months, PRIDE Daily has been awarded ‘Acast Recommends’ status by the podcast company. It has also been promoted by the Pocket Casts and Goodpods apps, whilst gaining listeners in countries including America, Australia, Norway and the UK.
The podcast has released a number of specials over the last 12 months. A week of ‘Queer Pioneers’ included profiles of pansexual performer Demi Lovato and Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, the world’s first out gay prince.
PRIDE Daily was also on the lineup of national LGBTQ+ radio station Virgin Radio Pride over the summer, alongside comedian Tom Allen, Bradley Riches from the hit Netflix drama Heartstopper and DJ Jodie Harsh.
You can find PRIDE Daily on all podcast platforms.
