London and the Big Apple foodie podcast transatlantic tie-up announced

Heritage Radio Network in New York and FoodFM in London are forming a new content-sharing partnership.

They say that this marks the first transatlantic collaboration between two major food and drink podcast platforms.

The agreement will see flagship FoodFM shows made available to HRN’s audience in the US, strengthening ties and expanding listener reach on both sides of the Atlantic.

FoodFM co-founders Caroline Kenyon and Karen Morris said: “We are thrilled to establish ties that will allow us all to strengthen and expand our audience in the USA. It’s the start of a fantastic foodie friendship.”

HRN Chair Ronald C. Pruett Jr. added: “We could see many synergies between the two organisations. It seemed a natural step to offer to share suitable content. This meeting of minds helps us both succeed in a rapidly growing industry.”

HRN, launched in 2009 from a shipping container behind Roberta’s Pizza in Brooklyn, is now the largest independent food and drink podcast network in the US.

FoodFM began during the 2020 lockdowns and has grown into a UK platform known for intimate, diverse and reflective storytelling.

Four FoodFM titles will join HRN’s offerings:

  • The Drinking Hour with wine and spirits expert David Kermode
  • A Slice of Cheese by celebrated food writer Jenny Linford
  • Bread & Butter hosted by FoodFM co-founder Caroline Kenyon
  • From Stephanie to Chefanie, following a career change from journalism to culinary school

Caroline and Karen add: “At a time of much conflict in the world, food is one of the few things that unifies us all. It’s great to be connected with our friends at HRN and their audience.”
