Miss Me? will continue as an independent podcast from 18 June, with Jordan Stephens joining Miquita Oliver as permanent co-host.
The move follows an updated BBC Audio Release Policy published last year, allowing independent producers to commercialise titles that are no longer funded by the licence fee.
As part of the change, the podcast will become available for commercial sponsorships and advertising from mid June.
Produced by Persephonica, the show launched on the BBC in 2024 and has built a large audience through conversations covering friendship, culture, humour and personal experiences. It has also received industry recognition with multiple awards since its debut.
New episodes will be available across major podcast platforms, alongside full video episodes on YouTube. The existing catalogue will remain available on BBC Sounds without advertising or sponsorship.
The podcast was originally presented by Miquita Oliver and Lily Allen. Last year, Lily stepped back from regular hosting duties to focus on the release of her album West End Girl and a subsequent world tour. She continues to appear as a guest and remains connected to the show.
Jordan Stephens, who has featured regularly on the podcast since 2025, will now become a permanent co host. The show will continue to release two episodes each week, with additional bonus content available for subscribers.
Dino Sofos, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Persephonica, thanked the BBC for its role in launching and supporting the podcast.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the BBC for its ambitious launch of Miss Me?, and for the support it has shown us and the podcast over the past two years,” he said.
Speaking about the new presenting line up, Dino added: “We’re also delighted that Jordan will be joining Miquita as permanent co-host. Audiences have loved hearing them together and we’re excited to see the show continue to evolve.”
Persephonica says the next phase of Miss Me? will focus on continued growth across audio, video and social platforms while building on the community that has developed around the show since launch.
