Muck Rack expands podcast monitoring to 65,000 transcripts

PR teams can now monitor podcast mentions alongside news and social after Muck Rack expanded transcript coverage to 65,000 shows.

The AI communications platform said the expansion brings podcast tracking into the same system used for journalists, pitches and reporting, aiming to simplify how communications teams identify and act on audio coverage.

Customers on Standard and Premier plans can set up podcast Trackers and Alerts, search across transcripts, titles, guest and host names, and podcast descriptions, and access episode pages with embedded audio and full transcript context.

Additional tools include a dedicated podcasts tab for discovery, filters by series and publish date and the ability to add podcast contacts directly into media lists or pitch workflows.

Gregory Galant, co-founder and chief executive officer of Muck Rack, said: “Podcast audiences are deeply engaged, and even the influence of a niche show can be enormous for a brand.

“As new podcasts continue to emerge at a rapid pace, tracking the right shows and staying on top of mentions has become more complex.

“PR teams need a way to monitor podcasts as easily as they monitor news and social, without a separate tool or budget conversation.”

With more than 2 million podcasts monitored and around 65,000 offering full searchable transcripts, Muck Rack said its system combines transcript search with keyword matching for shows without transcripts to broaden coverage across emerging and niche programming.

This development reflects increasing demand from PR professionals for tools that unify audio monitoring with traditional media tracking.

By bringing podcasts into the same workflow, Muck Rack is consolidating monitoring tasks rather than separate specialist systems.

Podcast listening continues to grow, with Muck Rack citing that 55% of the United States population listens monthly, reinforcing the relevance of integrating audio into communications monitoring.
