Made in Scotland is a new podcast feed dedicated to showcasing the best independent podcasts and audio works from across Scotland.
The feed will be a place to discover new audio drama, documentary, true crime, poetry, first-person narrative, conversational formats, and sound art.
The Made in Scotland podcast, which launches later this month, is an initiative from the Scotland Audio Network, managed by production company Bespoken Media with support from AudioUK.
The Scotland Audio Network exists to support and encourage collaboration among independent audio makers across Scotland.
The first four episodes will feature Push and Pull – A Journey to Barra and Vatersay by Bike – an episode of Wild For Scotland, Bauhaus Opens Its Doors – an episode of Bring Again the Now of Then, Ursula – an episode of FONDS and Jessie – an episode of Who Is The Cheese Wire Killer?
Dave Howard, founder and director of Bespoken Media says: “There are so many creative audio projects being led by fantastic independent producers and companies all over Scotland.
“We have created Made in Scotland to give these projects and teams the pedestal they deserve. We see this as an important step towards a stronger, more cohesive Scottish independent audio sector.”
Chloe Straw, CEO of AudioUK, says: “We are proud to support the Made in Scotland podcast feed, showcasing the creative and technical expertise of podcast producers and teams based in Scotland.
“Highlighting and supporting podcast businesses across the UK is an important part of our work, and we’re thrilled to see this initiative from Bespoken Media come to life.”
