New series of 101 PART TIME JOBS podcast launches

A new series of podcast 101 PART TIME JOBS, where artists and musicians share their stories of their past and present working other jobs, is launching on 1 March.

Host Giles Bidder is a presenter on Soho Radio and writes about new music in the i. In this latest series, he chats to guests including The Mysterines, Alex Cameron & Roy Molloy, Sea Power, King Hannah, H Hawkline, Mattiel and Crows about the jobs they’ve worked alongside honing their musical crafts.

Previous guests on the podcast include Yard Act, Priya Ragu, Tim Burgess, Self Esteem and many others.

Speaking about the podcast, Giles says: “At age 20 I was playing in a moderately successful band. Every time I got home from a tour, I found myself in a new predicament of where to work.

“I had to try and hide the fact in every job interview that I’d be having to leave again in a month to pursue the thing I really loved doing; performing music and working towards a full-time career in music… something that almost every band has had to do, and they’ve each got their own stories. This is the place where you can hear those stories.”
