Podcast Show London reveals advisory board and speaker submissions details

The Podcast Show London has announced its full International Advisory Board for this year, as planning continues for this year’s event taking place 20 and 21 May.

The board has been assembled to help shape the conference programme and wider content, with a focus on ensuring sessions remain relevant to delegates attending from across the international podcasting and audio industry.

Members for this year include Ruth Fitzsimons, Director of Digital at Bauer Media, James Cridland, Editor of Podnews, Bernard Achampong, Founder of Unedited and Chair of AudioUK, and Arielle Nissenblatt, Founder of the Earbuds Podcast Collective.

They are joined by Megan Bradshaw, Head of Spoken Word for Europe, Australia and New Zealand at Amazon Music, Shaun Wilson, Vice President of Podcast Sales at Audioboom, Carrie Lieberman, Chief Operating Officer at iHeartPodcasts, and Vicky Etchells, Director of Podcasts at Global.

Also confirmed are Arif Noorani, Director of CBC Podcasts, and Steve Ackerman, Board Advisor and Consultant, bringing experience from public service, commercial audio and independent podcasting markets.

Alongside the advisory board announcement, The Podcast Show London has opened applications for its sessions programme, inviting contributions from across the industry.

For four weeks from Monday 2 February, applicants can submit proposals for full panel sessions and keynotes, as well as nominate themselves or others to appear as panellists or moderators on show curated sessions via The Podcast Show London website.

All submissions will be reviewed by The Podcast Show London Content Team, with the closing date for applications set for 28 February.

Organisers have also reminded delegates that this week is the final chance to secure First Release discounted passes, with the discount window closing soon.

Delegates can still save up to £100 on their pass when booking before midnight on 30 January.

Deputy Director and Head of Content Ferga O’Neill said: “The Podcast Show London has delivered, over the past four years, an unrivalled programme of sessions, speakers and show features.

“Our fifth year of the show will be our most ambitious yet. We look forward to receiving submissions throughout February and, with the support of our newly announced International Advisory Board, we are excited with the prospect of delivering a world class programme in May.”
