Podimo adds German label arc.studio to expanding studios arm

Podimo has added German podcast label arc.studio to its growing Podimo Studios network as the subscription platform continues expanding its international content business.

The partnership brings the Hamburg based company into Podimo Studios, the group’s international production arm focused on developing original intellectual property and creator partnerships across audio, video and digital formats.

Arc.studio was founded in 2024 by Lara Johnen and Hendrik Nagel. Both will continue to lead the business as Managing Directors and will report to Podimo Chief Content Officer Georgia Brown as part of the wider Studios organisation.

The network already includes Tonny Media and Dag en Nacht in the Netherlands, as well as Danish podcast agency and advertising platform Podads.

Georgia Brown said the move builds on previous collaboration between the companies and strengthens Podimo’s ability to develop new shows and formats internationally.

“We’ve already seen the creative impact of our collaboration with arc.studio, making this a natural next step in our partnership,” Georgia said. “By bringing arc.studio into Podimo Studios, alongside our other labels and in house teams, we are strengthening our ability to develop creator led IP at scale.”

Arc.studio will continue operating independently while gaining access to Podimo’s production support and international reach.

The Hamburg studio has developed several creator led formats for the German speaking market, including Girls Girls, Kaffee mit Zitrone, Clare on Air and DES ISSES.

This announcement comes alongside a wider expansion of Podimo’s leadership team as the company continues to grow internationally.

Recent senior appointments include Iain Sawbridge as Chief Commercial Officer, Jason Crosby as Vice President of Content and Studio Operations, Mehul Fotedar as Vice President of Product, and Daniel Maynard leading global communications.

Podimo founder and Chief Executive Officer Morten Strunge said the hires are designed to support the company’s next phase of growth.

“The industry is evolving rapidly, with one in three adults now listening to a podcast weekly,” Morten said. “By expanding Podimo Studios and strengthening our product and commercial capabilities, we are creating a company that combines creative excellence with operational discipline.”

Podimo currently has more than 1.2 million subscribers, publishes over 700 podcast episodes each month and employs around 350 people across seven countries.
