Spotify appoints Talia Stolerman Head of Podcasts UK/IE/NL

Spotify has appointed Talia Stolerman as Head of Podcasts for the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.

The move places Talia in charge of the platform’s podcast strategy across the three markets, after more than five years working with creators and partners at the company in both the United States and the UK.

She first joined Spotify in New York in 2020 as a Creator Partner Manager with the team formerly known as Anchor.

Talia then moved to London in 2021, becoming Partner Manager for Podcasts and working with creators and production partners in the UK until stepping into the new regional leadership role this month.

Before joining Spotify, she spent several years working in UK radio and podcast production.

Her earlier roles included producing for Global, Fubar Radio and the BBC, before moving to Audioboom where she served as Content Director for five years from 2015.

In a post on Linkedin announcing the role, Talia described the current moment for podcasting as an important period for the sector’s development.

“It’s an incredibly energising time for the podcast industry and I’m proud to help shape what’s next in such a dynamic, creative, and fast-growing market,” she said.

Reflecting on her time at the company so far, she added that the work had been driven by colleagues, creators and partners across Spotify’s teams.

“From starting my Spotify journey in New York with the team formerly known as Anchor, to the past few years growing the business in the UK, every step has been powered by brilliant colleagues, creators, and partners who constantly raise the bar.”

Talia also thanked several colleagues and collaborators, including Rachel Simpson, Brontë Edmondson, Evie Chiles and Rowan Collinson, as well as Alastair Ferrans and Andy Sloan-Vincent for their support.

She said she is looking forward to continuing to support creators and expand podcast activity across the region.
