The Guardian launches new weekly food podcast with Ocado

The Guardian has partnered with Ocado to launch new weekly food podcast, Comfort Eating with Grace Dent.

The podcast will celebrate the joys of comfort food, with Guardian restaurant critic and TV personality Grace Dent hearing from a range of famous faces, including Russell T Davies, Deborah Meaden and Nish Kumar.

As a food critic, Grace is famous for her refined palate, but at home she can often be found with a plate of oven chips, gravy and mint sauce – and she suspects, she’s not the only one!

Inviting a different famous face into her kitchen each week, Grace will get them to lift the lid on what they like to eat when they are home alone or feeling lazy.

They will also discuss some of the most meaningful moments in their lives and the foods that helped them through those times. Each of them will bring in in their favourite snack to share with Grace and enjoy (or not) together.

The first episode hears from Russell T Davies, with upcoming guests including businesswoman Deborah Meaden, comedian Nish Kumar, Drag Race UK winner Lawrence Chaney, writer Candice Carty-Williams and actor Rafe Spall.

Grace Dent, Guardian restaurant critic and TV personality, says: “Just like the comfort foods we all love to eat, I hope this new podcast will serve up plenty of joy for listeners and food lovers around the world.

“I can’t wait to hear about the unique creations our guests secretly tuck into at home and to discover a different side to some of our favourite celebrities that we don’t normally get to see.”

Comfort Eating with Grace Dent launches today, Tuesday 15 June, with new episodes releasing weekly every Tuesday and can be listened to on theguardian.com/audio, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Acast or wherever you get your podcasts.
