Vishal podcast series returns with new episode exploring the case

New developments in the Sussex police investigation into the unsolved murder of Vishal Mehrotra, have led to a new episode to the podcast about the case.

Following the previous nine-part series of Vishal, this new episode, presented by Colin Campbell, continues the investigation into the disappearance of eight-year-old Vishal Mehrotra, who was abducted from the streets of London on the day of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer’s wedding.

In the days and weeks after the series launches Colin is approached by a number of people who say they have information that could help with the investigation – things noticed decades before and never forgotten. But 40 years on can these memories push the case forward?

On Vishal’s launch in April 2023, it generated news stories across print, TV and online, turning the spotlight onto the police and raising major questions about their original investigation.

Colin Campbell says: “For our team, it was important to explore all the leads presented to us. The tragic story of Vishal and his family is close to our hearts and we wanted to go as far as possible in our investigation”.

The 10th episode of Vishal will be released on Monday 9 October on BBC Sounds and wherever you get your podcasts.
