Voting has officially opened for the highly anticipated Listeners’ Choice category at the British Podcast Awards 2025.
The Listeners’ Choice Award remains the only prize at the BPAs decided entirely by audience votes, recognising shows that have cultivated dedicated fanbases across the UK. Any podcast can compete for this title, regardless of whether they entered other categories.
Last year, Help I Sexted My Boss, hosted by William Hanson and Jordan North, claimed the top spot following three consecutive wins by the true crime podcast RedHanded between 2021 and 2023.
To be eligible this year, a podcast must have been available in Apple Podcasts since 1 June 2025 and must be UK-based or aimed mainly at UK listeners.
Podcasters are being urged to encourage their audiences and share voting links across social channels using official promotional materials provided on the BPAs website.
Voting will close on 8 September, ahead of the winners being announced during the awards ceremony on 2 October at indigo at The O2 in London.
Tickets for the awards ceremony are available now at the British Podcast Awards website, where you can also find full details on how to vote and download the social media assets to rally listeners.
