The Dadvengers Podcast returns for its third series

Having just been nominated for Best Family Podcast in the British Podcast awards 2022, Season three of the Dadvengers Podcast launches today.

Guests lined up to appear include Troy Deeney, Joe Wicks, Krept, and Russell Kane.

Launched in 2020 and hosted by Nigel Clarke, (The Baby Club, CBeebies) the podcast is designed to engage with parents and raise a variety of parenting subjects like mental health, racism, imposter syndrome, childcare, co-parenting and more.

The first episode of the new series opens with Patrick Hutchinson, who shot to fame in the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 when he carried an anti-BLM protestor to safety. Patrick talks about his experiences as a parent, and how he has evolved over the years.

Patrick talks to Nigel about the protests, telling why he got involved, and the impact this has had on his life. He also talks about his experience growing up without a dad and how it has affected him as an adult.

Other guests in series three include:

  • Simon Hooper (@FatherofDaughters), who talks about his daughter being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and the impact this had not only on her, but on him as a father.
  • Alex Winters (CBeebies), talking about leaving a strict religion when he realised it didn’t align with his world, or parenting, views.
  • Troy Deeney (Birmingham City FC) who talks about his upbringing and how he is trying to change the UK’s education system to include more black history.
  • Ben Anderson (@theDiaryofaDad), who talks openly about his baby loss.
  • Joe Wicks (@thebodycoach), who opens up to us about his mental health journey and talks about his recent documentary and how he has changed since.
