Prime Minister joins Pete Wicks for special episode of Man Made podcast

Keir Starmer has recorded an intimate and revealing conversation for a special episode of Man Made.

The Prime Minister sat down with host Pete Wicks at 10 Downing Street for a wide-ranging and personal discussion to be released on 21 November as part of Men’s Mental Health Month.

He offers a rare insight into his own experiences and the challenges he believes young men are facing today.

Across the conversation he talks openly about role models, the people who have inspired him throughout his life and the pressures he sees affecting men this year.

He reflects on how becoming a father reshaped his understanding of masculinity and encouraged him to think differently about emotional openness and support.

Starmer also speaks candidly about the loss of his brother Nick, sharing for the first time what it was like to be with him when he received his diagnosis.

He talks about how he coped with that grief while continuing to run the country through an intensely difficult period, offering listeners a moment of honesty rarely heard from a serving prime minister.

Man Made has earned acclaim for its straightforward, compassionate approach to conversations about modern masculinity, with Pete Wicks.

Episodes see guests from entertainment, sport and culture discuss the pressures men face, the expectations placed on them and the importance of speaking honestly about mental health.

This special episode serves as a preview of the new series returning in January 2026, following a first season that drew more than one million downloads.

It featured names including Jordan Stephens, Olly Alexander, Caitlin Moran and Jake Humphrey, each offering their own take on what masculinity means in their lives.

Produced as a Rayo Original, the podcast challenges stereotypes and inspires healthier, more open discussions, with Wicks encouraging listeners to reflect, relate and rethink the ways men talk about wellbeing.

The Prime Minister’s episode is available from 21 November on the Rayo app, Apple, Amazon Music, Spotify and other major platforms, with season two of Man Made launching in January 2026.
