More live podcast shows and crossover events have been confirmed for Goalhanger: The Rest Is Fest at the Southbank Centre this September.
The three-day festival runs from 4 to 6 September as part of the Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary celebrations, with new events bringing together several podcasts from the Goalhanger network.
New additions include a collaboration between Anthony Scaramucci from The Rest Is Politics: US and David McCloskey from The Rest Is Classified. Their show, Team America: World Police?, takes place on 5 September in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and will examine the global influence of the United States.
Richard Osman and Marina Hyde will also host The Rest Is Quiz for one night only on 6 September in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, bringing together presenters from across Goalhanger’s podcasts for a live quiz.
The programme will also feature the first live editions of The Rest Is Science and The Book Club on 5 September, while The Rest Is Politics: The Special Relationship takes place in the Royal Festival Hall the same day.
Sherlock & Co. has added a second performance on 6 September in the Purcell Room following demand for the original show.
Meanwhile, The Rest Is Classified returns to the Southbank Centre on 4 September after a sold out performance at the venue earlier this year.
These shows join previously announced live recordings including The Rest Is Football on 4 September, The Rest Is Money on 4 September, The Rest Is History on 5 September and The Rest Is Politics on 6 September.
The festival will take place across several venues on the Southbank Centre site and marks a collaboration between the arts venue and Goalhanger.
Tickets for the newly announced events go on sale to Goalhanger and Southbank Centre members on 16 March. General sale begins on 26 March via the Southbank Centre website.
