News UK launches Andrew Neil Report weekly video podcast show

News UK has expanded its video-first commissioning strategy with a new weekly political programme hosted by Andrew Neil.

The Andrew Neil Report will release every Thursday and is set to appear exclusively on podcast platforms and YouTube.

The format places Neil in a central role delivering detailed political analysis, responding to fast-moving domestic and international developments, and offering weekly commentary aimed at separating facts from political messaging.

Neil, former Editor of The Sunday Times and former Chairman of Sky TV, also contributes to Times Radio.

Across his career he has reported on major political events in Westminster and Washington, building a reputation for detailed scrutiny of political claims and public statements.

The programme forms part of News UK’s wider push into video-led editorial commissioning, with a focus on reaching audiences across both screens and audio platforms.

The company said the approach is designed to make political analysis accessible whether viewers are watching or listening on the move.

Each episode will also include guest contributors, with expert commentators joining Neil to discuss the main issues shaping the week’s news agenda and broader global developments.

Scott Taunton, EVP, President of News Broadcasting, said: “Andrew Neil is the most formidable political commentator of his generation, and we are thrilled to launch this brand new standalone show with him.

“The Andrew Neil Report reflects our commitment to investing in world-class, high-quality programming that gives audiences the deep-dive analysis they are looking for.”

New episodes will be released every Thursday, positioning the programme as a recurring weekly entry point into political coverage across YouTube and podcasting platforms.
