To mark 40 years since her solo career began, this week has seen the launch of 40 Moyet Moments, a 40-part podcast series from acclaimed singer Alison Moyet.
Each episode, released Mondays and Thursdays, sees Alison in conversation with her long-time media-manager, Steve Coats-Dennis. She talks about the key moments of her career including the highs, the lows and everything in between.
Across the twenty-week series brutal honesty, trademark humour and quite a few surprising anecdotes from the artist are revealed.
Off the back of the release of the first two episodes this week, the podcast has debuted at #1 in the Apple Podcasts UK Top Music Shows chart, and #2 in the Spotify UK Top Music Podcasts chart.
The run of episodes will lead up to the release of her new album Key on 4 October – a collection of 16 reworked singles, fan favourites and deep cuts as well as two new songs.
Alison says: “I wanted to take the opportunity to look at the trajectory of the past four decades and explore songs that, in their original form, were never fully realised or have had their relevance to me altered by time.”
