Comedians and newly single women in their 30s Amy Gledhill and Harriet Kemsley are launching the second series of their podcast, Single Ladies in Your Area.
The first series covered topics from navigating the transition from dating apps to actual dates, to figuring out whether butterflies are a sign of excitement or dread.
They even took the love language test to discover what makes them feel truly appreciated – can assembling flat-pack furniture be the ultimate show of affection, or does a simple hug beat it all?
Now, in series two, the duo reflects on what, if anything, they’ve learned from their first season. Have they cracked the code on flirting in the digital age? Do they finally know which dating app really works? And, perhaps most importantly, are love spells a real thing?
Amy and Harriet will talk to more experts, confide in more comedy friends, swap personal dating mishaps, and share listeners’ hilarious (and cringeworthy) horror stories.
There will also be tips for spotting red flags, navigating speed dating, dealing with divorce, boosting self-worth, and of course, getting the ick!
Guests for series two include comedians Stephen Bailey, Ania Magliano with more to be announced in due course.
Harriet Kemsley says: “We’ve been blown away by the response to the first series and can’t wait to get going with series two. I love chatting with Amy every week and sharing the absolute chaos that is dating in your thirties.”
Amy Gledhill says: “We haven’t found love (boo!) but the series can run and run! (Hurray!) There’s so SO much more we need to learn and oh my we have lots to share. I can’t wait to tell everyone far too much as usual.”
Produced by Plosive and hosted by Acast, the new series Single Ladies in Your Area launches on Friday 9 May and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
